We do all our own fabrication on-site and nothing is subcontracted out. You are welcome to visit our shop at any time during your project’s progress. In fact, at Rock Solid Custom Granite, we encourage it. Below are a few common questions that our customers have had over the years. Since we provide custom service, we realize you may have additional questions pertaining to your particular granite counter renovation, and we look forward to answering those for you as well.
Is this a long process?
We try and make your transformation to granite counter tops as easy as possible. The timeframe for the entire process from creating your template to your final installation takes approximately 2 weeks.
Where do I select my granite?
We will determine your needs and send you to one of our many trusted suppliers. They will have hundreds of slabs to choose from. Their experienced staff will show you around and answer any questions you might have, helping to ensure the product you choose will meet the needs you have for your granite counters.
Is granite expensive?
In recent years, granite, quartz, and marble prices have dropped substantially making them more affordable than ever. From our years of experience, we have learned that the quality of less expensive natural stone can be as good as the quality of the more expensive stone. What this means for you is that there has never been a better time to replace granite for your kitchen countertops or to incorporate a granite vanity into your bathroom. We can help you select the right product, at the right price, to meet your budget requirements.
* Beware of discount granite countertops as they may chip.
How long can I expect my countertops to last?
Your countertops can be expected to last decades or even centuries because natural stone and quartz products are so hard. You can expect a lifetime of enjoyment from your granite or quartz counter tops.
Do I need to worry about radiation in my countertops?
Studies have been conducted that prove that this should not be a concern. We can provide that information to ease your concerns about granite counters and vanity tops.
Do I choose granite or quartz?
Whether you choose granite or quartz countertops, the choice is yours. We work with both granite and quartz products. Both are great products and make a great choice for your countertops, and both have their advantages and disadvantages. There are many more choices available with granite, as there are hundreds of materials to choose from. Granite has more movement (beautiful colors and patterns in the stone itself) than quartz. Granite is a natural product while quartz is partially man made. We can work with you to determine the product that best fits your needs and budget.
What natural stone do you work with?
We fabricate and install all natural stone counters , including granite, limestone, marble, onyx, soapstone, and travertine.
What quartz products do you work with?
There are many great choices out there and we will work with any of them. We fabricate and install Caesarstone, Cambria, Hanstone, LG Viatera, Silestone, and Zodiaq counters.
